Early model Z3M interior rear view mirrors used a manual dim knob to adjust the tilt function.  As the cars age these knobs either break completely or become so loose the knob continuously falls off.

As a side quest to the DBG high tuck stem mounts I wanted to solve this problem.

The original BMW knob/cam joint was mated with a 3mm square drive that shears off and is not offered as an individual part.

The DBG knob cam mates with a 5mm+ cross section hexagon drive increasing the cross sectional shear area over 2.5 times.

The knobs and cams are printed using PETG-CF filament and a 100% infill. This means they are completely solid parts and have tiny bits of carbon fiber infused into them for added shear resistance.

The fit between the two parts has a small rib that locks the knob onto the cam.  After assembly they should not come back apart.  They are designed as single install parts.
